Turkish heavy machinery manufacturer Hidromek recently entered the roller market segment. Its new HMK110CS soil compactor is a stoutly constructed yet comfortable roller suitable for road building, utilities, civil construction, and large residential developments, according to its Australian dealer Onetrak.
Versatility & Comfort
The HMK110CS features a high eccentric vibration mode with a 1.95- millimetre (0.77-inch) amplitude for efficiency on thick soil layers, as well as a low eccentric mode of 0.81 mm (0.03-in.) amplitude for surface sealing and final finishing tasks. Hidromek offers an optional Compactimeter, which indicates how much the subsoil is being compacted during the rolling process.
The new HMK110CS available with or without a high-visibility cabin. The ROPS cab is isolated from vibration and features an adjustable suspension seat and ergonomic controls. Large windows, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a rear-view camera provide the operator with critical information and situational awareness. The cabin also comes with externally serviceable air conditioning, front and rear wipers, a cool-box, and a phone and tablet holder. The machine’s LED head lamps can be complemented with optional LED work lights.

The Hidromek HMK110CS has an operating weight of 11,150 kilograms (24,582 pounds). Its front-mounted drum is 2.13 metres (84 in.) wide and 1,500 mm (59 in.) in diameter, and it exerts a load of 6,300 kg (13,889 lbs).
Under the compactor’s one-piece hood is a four-cylinder Deutz turbodiesel engine that produces 138 horsepower (103 kilowatts) and 520 Newton-metres (384 pound-force feet) of torque. The roller’s four-speed transmission affords it a driving speed of up to 12 km/h (7.5 mph).
